I completed the Ariadne Biker Bag in this beautiful green Sheepskin leather from Auburn Fabric Outlets and I couldn’t be prouder. This project included a lot of firsts: first time sewing with leather to make a bag, first time using bag hardware, first time using leather tools. I learned a lot of lessons and she has her flaws, but I love her nonetheless.

I printed the pattern at 100% and purchased my bag hardware from Amazon. The lining is a remnant from my fabric stash, left over from making a dress. The zippers also came from my sewing stash.

Modifications: I added a middle zippered pocket to the bag and included pattern pieces from the Inari wallet, another Sew Mote It Be pattern, to the interior of the bag, opposite side of the zipper pocket. I also sewed the mag mirrored because I cut the pattern pieces on the wrong side of the leather instead of the right. Don’t be like me, read through all the instructions before starting the project, including cutting all your pieces.
