Jamison Skirt PDF Sewing Pattern
The Jamison Skirt is a voluminous skirt with a western vibe, an asymmetric hem and a densely gathered ruffle, that creates gorgeous movement.

My fifth completed make for the #MakeNine2025 sewing challenge. I sewed up the Curated Curvy’s Jamison skirt in a plaid green and white 100% cotton table cloth from my local Savers thrift store. This is a very easy make, perfect for the patient beginner. I say patient because the dramatic ruffle design at the hem of the skirt takes some time and patience.
Gathered Ruffle Techniques: sewing machine, serger, yarn method.
“This pattern features curved seams, gathering, top-stitching and the insertion of an elastic waistband. Despite these techniques, this pattern is still suitable for patient beginners.
The Jamison Skirt is designed to have a relaxed fit with a generous amount of ease throughout the lower waist and hips. The elastic waistband is meant to fit snuggly around the waist, but not tightly making for a comfortable fit. This pattern has 9 pieces and can be sewn in about 5 to 6 hours, including time needed for cutting.” – Curated Curvy
