Starting off the Motherland Chic series, I bring to you Annesophie Achera for Achera Designs. This up and coming talent hales from my own roots, Kenya where she started by designing and sewing outfits for herself and friends. This became her passion, more-so she made it her career and began workings as a design assistant for Liz Ogumbo.
This award-winning designer showcases the modern day woman with a sophisticated silhouette n bright, vibrant colors. The clothing is playful yet practical with pieces that can be separated and used for work to a night out. She’s definitely one to watch out for and I personally fee a great deal of pride and joy to see a Kenyan woman do such beautiful and great things.
